The RMS Foundation is a research and testing institute offering services, in particular testing services in the fields of medical and materials technology as well as process engineering.
The employees of the RMS research and develop new technologies and improve their practical knowledge by promoting internal and external research projects in the fields of biomechanics, properties of materials and surfaces, the evaluation of implant systems, as well as materials technology and innovative manufacturing processes. Research into the possibilities of tissue replacement, especially of bone and cartilage tissue, is a selected priority.
The RMS offers mechanical and technological product and component testing, specific and standardized analyses, experimental investigations, and consulting services in all the above-mentioned subject areas in accordance with its catalogue of services. With its interdisciplinary expertise, it is open to all interested parties and also promotes training and further education in the relevant fields of activity. The professional world is informed by means of publications and lectures.
The RMS Foundation attaches great importance to partnership-based, interdisciplinary cooperation with other research groups, clinics, institutes and companies, not at least to increase its own efficiency. A motivated team of specialised employees has the necessary professional skills thanks to comprehensive knowledge and many years of experience.
The organisation of the RMS Foundation is based on a certified quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001. Many services are provided on the basis of current standards, our own standard procedures and methods developed in-house. These services are accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025.
